Metropole NASA Certificate Appreciation IRIS Launch

Metropole Products Recognized by NASA

Stafford, VA – September 30, 2013 –  NASA presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Metropole Products in recognition of Metropole’s significant contribution to the IRIS mission, including the timely reconfiguration of the diplexer allowing the program to maintain its launch schedule. Metropole is proud to support NASA as well as many private companies in their space exploration efforts. Metropole components provide mission critical communications capabilities for a variety of satellites to connect with operators on the ground, enabling them to send and receive clear signals. Metropole engineers’ expertise in quickly reconfiguring the diplexer is an example of company-wide dedication to mission success and ability to provide customized solutions to complex aerospace challenges.

IRIS is a NASA Small Explorer Mission to observe how solar material moves, gathers energy and heats up as it travels through a little-understood region in the sun’s lower atmosphere. This interface region between the sun’s photosphere and corona powers its dynamic million-degree atmosphere and drives the solar wind.

Metropole designs solutions that empower communication around the world and beyond. Its innovative RF and microwave technologies are essential components to the systems that connect and protect our nation. For more than 40 years, expert Metropole engineers have developed sophisticated communications components that enable both science and industry to reach farther, connect more clearly and share information more efficiently.
